Heretics Kingcab

Picked up my Kingcab ute today - plain for now, but maybe one day I'll bling it up a bit! Oh and Darryl, I need some Nissanz stickers for it!

Yep, battle of the D21 stock utes! Lemme get some 18's with race tires cause I'm already sick of the sidewall flex on the 14's :D . VG30 would be cool, but a 4.5 v8 would sound better and tow better too!

mmmmm I will let you run up to 16" & asymetric but real road tyres not racing tyres

Can't have you having an advantage aye

Second hand 16" 4WD wheels are cheap as hell & some of them look pretty good

I seriously like the look of (spec wise) of a 225/50R17, because the sidewall height is small enough to minimise sidewall flex, but its still got some sidewall to take the knocks. Good news is its used by midrange sedans 8)

Well, more developments on the ute than the kit car atm!

Bought some Terrano seats - $50 for the pair
Bought some rims with good tires - $80 for the 4

Removed the carpet and not a moment too soon. Looks like theres water coming in from behind the dash somewhere, as the footwell underlay was drenched and theres lots of surface rust, but the back of the cab is barely showing any signs of surface rust. Looks like I need to get in there with a wire brush wheel for a few hours, but that was expected as the prevous owner warned me about water coming in from somewhere - its under cover atm and will be in the garage when I can make some room.

No big deal if it is, I have welder & panel steel - we can fix it :D

Oh yeah slightly big deal taking windscreen out etc :( but still not the end of the world :)
