Heretics SR20VE Chevron Project

Postby Heretic » Mon Oct 12, 2009 8:01 am

Ok, so I went a bit midlife crisses and bought an old mans car, but guess what else I bought for it! Try an S14 bottom end and a complete SR20VE!!! Bow before me at the awsomeness of a 600kg rwd with a 190hp NA engine!

Ok, so I actually bought a bare S14 engine as well, so I got some spares, but looks like I need to brush up my knowledge on putting the VE head on the S14 block!

It gets dropped of this weekend, and I'm doing a road trip this Sunday to pick up the engine hopefully, but won't know when I am transplanting the engine until its set up for RWD and mated to a gearbox

Carl you know if you want the Chevron to look like that you just have to come see me for a little tinkering
If you have the money I have the time - soon to have a TIG welder as well!

Just pored a slab of concrete under the house (2m by 2m yesterday, same again today =2m by 4m area) to add to the storage room so now there will be less stuff in the garage = can do more work!! :D

Go on don't piss about VQ35 engine or go home! A jap/NZ version of the Shelby Cobra

I might need some help with mounting the VE FWD head onto the DE RWD block if you are keen - I have found out an easy way to supply the oil to the VVL gallery in the head 8-)

I need to earn money or I will have to go get a job

So yeah I am keen as to help at my standard very low hourly rate :D

LETS PAINT IT!!! That orange one looks cool - the green just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

I want it red with white racing stripes (there is a caterham theme I like) - the green doesn't do it for me either! Ok, just gotta get a couple of flatmates, then its all yours Glen!

As for the S14 head Knate, yeah, could be a go-er - I just want to keep it for mock up purposes for a bit, then its all yours
