Nissans Forum Facelift Comp - Win up to $200!

In an effort to breath some life back into the forum, I thought I'd put some money on the table and upgrade the look. The more I look at the front page, the more I don't like it, so I think its time for a change

The Competition:

Section 1 - homepage graphic
I think this is the most important aspect of the homepage.
It has to encompass a representation of a group of Nissan owners with their pride and joys, giving instant appeal to fellow Nissan owners
It has to load quickly or be interesting enough to keep people on the homepage while it loads
It has to use efficient web designe like html, flash, etc, to allow the page to load quickly - no AVI's, quicktime, etc
Prize: $100

Section 2 - content design
I think this is possibly the second most important aspect to the web design
It has to provide interesting sections like ride of the month, history of the club, history of nissan, etc, to have some sort of pressence outside of the forum
Menu's must be easily changeable and must work without any special backend language
Menu's must maintan a uniform style and be easy to navigate straight to the homepage and forums from any page outside of the forum
Prize: $50

Section 3 - forum theme
I'm not so sure that the colour scheme is working, so lets have a friendly to get a nice theme for the forum
Forum icons must be clearly distinguishable between each other
Forum icons must appeal to visitors
Theme must run on phpBB3 and must work with the current content
Prize: $50

How the comp works:
Designs need to be submitted by 1 June 2010
Each section will have its own thread for submissions and voting
Final 10 decided by Heretic, based on forum feedback by 8 June 2010
Final 3 decided by poll, by 15 June 2010
Final design by poll, by 30 June 2010
